Volcanoes, volcanoes, volcanoes!

What a busy first week back! We have started a new non-fiction book called 'Volcanoes' which links to our Learning Means the World Topic called 'The Elements.'
We love having cross-curricular texts that support our writing and our wider learning. We have delved into the depths of how a volcano is formed, subject-specific vocabulary and used our research to find 15 of the biggest and most active volcanoes in the world.
In Maths we have been converting decimals to fractions and percentages and have worked exceptionally hard to feel confident in this area.
In P.E. we have started OAA (Outdoor and Adventurous Activity) which includes a lot of communication and team work to complete activities. We are hoping the weather becomes dryer so we can use the woodlands and field to make the most of it.
