Nidd class news

It has been a busy and exciting week in Nidd.

This week we started our termly assessments and we have been really impressed with everyone's positive attitudes. We will be continuing these next week.

Our swimming lesson was really exciting this week as some children were learning backstroke and even swam with flippers on their feet. This presented an extra challenge but most children agreed that the trickiest part was walking in them! It is wonderful to watch the progress that every single child has made since starting our lessons.

World Book Day presented us with lots of exciting (and some famous!) characters. We were joined by vets, doctors, stars of sport and music and a busy bee. Our famous visitors included Taylor Swift, Steve Backshall and Sir Ranulph Fiennes. We even had the honour of a visit from Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II!
