Swale News
Welcome to this week's news.
This week has been very busy! We have had lots of exciting activities in school alongisde our learning.
In English, we have been focusing on persuasive writing and using role-play to help us think about the different emotions of the crayons. Daisy enjoyed role playing Red Crayon as the crayon had some strong arguments and got very angry!
In Maths, we have been learning about fractions and looking at improper fractions and mixed numbers. Freddie enjoyed problem-solving using fractions.
In RE, we have started to think about the kind of world Jesus would want. We have looked at the verses in Matthew when Jesus called the first disciples and thought about how we could be 'fishers of people'.
Pancake races on Tuesday were a lot of fun! Bayes enjoyed it because his team won! Ted enjoyed it because we worked as a team, and then we could cheer on the other year groups.
We had an excellent World Book Day today where we were able to share our favourite non-fiction books and why we were inspired by them. We have had character battles, book cafés and also took part in the BBC big read live with lots of other schools around the country. Sophie enjoyed going to other classrooms to listen to stories from lots of different teachers.
