In maths, we have been continuing our learning about fractions. This week we have learnt the mathematical way to write a half and a quarter. Lucas P said 'A half is 2 equal parts'. Hamza said 'A quarter is 4 equal parts'. 

Anna says 'In English, we made a story map about what happened to the sandwich'. Tessa says 'We have learnt where commas went in a sentence and what word we use before the last word in the list. 

In Learning Means The World we have been thinking about 'Going Wild'. This week we have been thinking about what things we need for our bodies to stay alive. We compared this to what an animal needs to stay alive, and it is the same! 

For VE day we celebrated by learning a 1940s dance. We learnt the Charlston, the Jive and the Side Step. We also made our own WW2 medals, and had a special Wakeman Tea Party!
