What an incredible week we have had!
We have written our final story based on Kensuke's Kingdom in our English lessons this week. Here is an extract from Guy's story based on falling off the boat called the Peggy Sue.
-- Treading water was futile, as it drained my energy, so I lay on my back floating on top of the still sea. The deep pink sky was reflected by the calm sea and the golden sun retired for the night. I was becoming tired now. Flashes of scaly, silver sardines darted around me like bullets, as the cratered moon loomed over me, keeping watch. A salty splash landed on my lips, leaving me with an unmistakable taste.
This week we were also able to celebrate coming to the end of Year 6 and the journey the year group has had. We went to Spa Gardens for a picnic and then headed off to the leisure centre for an afternoon fun swim. The inflatables, volleyballs, sinkies, floats were a hit, and it was incredible to have the opportunity for the children to have fun with each other outside of school as a year group. These are memories that will last with us all!
As we are getting closer to our production, the scenery and props are coming together, as are the costumes!
Can costumes be brought in on Monday in a named bag please.
