In Nidd this week...

We have enjoyed  lots of new learning in Nidd this week!

We began a new unit in Maths; this week we were learning how to measure mass in grams and kilograms. There are a lot of steps involved to read the scales accurately and it certainly proved to be a challenge!

In Guided Reading, we read about the migration of Golden Jellyfish. We were surprised to learn that, unlike many animals who migrate seasonally, these jellyfish have to migrate daily in order to survive. Ethan really enjoyed this lesson and told us "I like the fact that they have to follow the sun every day to stay alive."

Some of our swimmers this week were learning the breast stroke. "It's quite tricky because you have to focus on your arms and your legs at the same time!" says Morris. Sienna did really well and was even used as an example by the swimming teacher. Well done Sienna and to all our swimmers as they are all making amazing progress.

We are very sad to say goodbye to Sophie this week but we know she is going to make lots of friends in her new school. We have loved having Sophie in school with us and we wish her all the very best in her new adventure!
