Litton Class Blog

Welcome back Litton Class! We've had another busy week in Year 6...let us tell you all about it.

After ending last half-term with an afternoon of making earthquake-proof structures in Learning Means the World, we started this week looking at volcanoes in both English and in our Geography unit, 'In Your Element'. We have researched and learnt about what they are, how they work, where they are located and the pros and cons of living near one! We look forward to creating some non-chronological reports all about volcanoes over the coming weeks.

In PE, Mr Banks taught us some key skills in our new unit all about orienteering - something lots of us really enjoy and we can't wait to get on the field as the weather hopefully starts to improve!

Maths has been all about making conversions between fractions, decimals and percentages. We have loved playing some online games linked into this - please feel free to have a go at some of these at home! Children have also been given a new homework folder and a letter all about the new homework to expect in Year 6. We look forward to seeing these come back in next week.
