December has arrived and we welcomed it in with decorating the classroom and our Christmas tree. A huge thank you to the children who have brought some decorations in! 

On Monday, some of the Year 6 girls took part in a football competition at Ripon Grammar School with North Yorkshire Sport. The teamwork and enthusiasm was incredible and it was a joy to watch every one of the girls cheer and support each other. The final result.... was a draw! The next football fixture will be in the Spring term. 

In class, we have been listening and exploring Christmas war songs and looking closely at the lyrics, tempo, mood, rhythm as this links in with our Wars of the World topic. We also completed our narrative writing on Merlin.
