Ribble's Class Blog

This week has been brilliant and busy!

It has been a very busy week here in Ribble. Last Friday, we had sports day and it was such a success! The children loved having an opportunity for their parents to watch them in races, and it was wonderful to see the supportive atmosphere and smiles on everyone’s faces.

In maths, we have been looking at converting units. We have focused on kilometres and kilograms, millimetres and millilitres as well as learning how to convert metric and imperial units. Will said, ‘It was tricky at first, but after a lot of hard work we are feeling more confident’.

Everyone in Ribble has produced some amazing pieces of work recently in English too. We have been exploring inference and deduction as well as implementing features of persuasive writing too. We wrote the start of some letters to Mrs Sanderson and they were very persuasive!

It was also such a treat to welcome the Year 2s into our class on Wednesday too. We showed the children how to log in to the laptops, navigate TTRS and earn coins - it was so much fun! Roy said that ‘At the start, the Year 2s seemed nervous but excited and then once we started to work with them, it was lovely to see them progress. I felt very happy, and it was nice to see them smile.’

See some of our lovely photos below.
