Wakeman's Class Blog

What a wonderful week in Wakeman!

We had lots of fun writing the final part of our story, all about what Mrs Wright did when she found the mess Rusty had made in school. We used loads of adverbs and used apostrophes to show possession.

In Maths, we have been learning about mass and weight. We started off by weighing in grams and then discussed what we would measure heavier objects in. We decided that kilograms would be a good unit of measure and explored how 1000g = 1kg.

In LMTW we have been finishing off our learning about Sir Ranulph Fiennes. We learnt about his Global Reach Challenge and how he raised lots of money for Marie Curie. As a year group we are taking on our own Global Reach Challenge next Thursday, completing a series of active challenges to raise money for the Ripon Walled Gardens. It has been lovely to hear about all the fundraising that has been going on so far!
