We have been brilliant scientists and poets this week!
This week in LMTW we have been learning about simple circuits. We have created a circuit using a battery to make a light bulb work! It was such a surprise when the lightbulb started to work! We now know that a circuit needs to be complete with no breaks for the battery to be able to travel around and power something.
In English, we have been working hard as poets this week. We thought about what we did at home (for example, riding my bike) and turned these into amazing similes. Some of us have even managed to add alliteration into our poems!
In Maths, we have been working on statistics. We have learnt lots of different ways to present and interpret data. We have created tally charts, tables, block diagrams and even pictograms! We have then used this data to find out different information.
In RE, we have been thinking about what belonging to a faith looks like and a sense of community. Last week we made a word cloud of all the words we could use to represent a community and show belonging. Our working wall is now looking very colourful with all of our amazing words!
Next week, we are having a visit to the library. We are incredibly lucky that Ripon Library is running a poetry workshop for us. We cannot wait to see what amazing books we find!
