All Y1 parents are encouraged to come into school just before pick-up time at 3pm to find out all about the phonic screening check.

In Y1, it is a statutory requirement that all pupils complete a short check to assess their progress in phonics. In this session, we will explain what the check is, how it is organised and what the children have to do.

As part of the session, and with the help of your children, we will also be giving you hints and tips for helping at home, and explaining how to help with alien words!! The session will be finished in time for the end of school at 3:20pm.
