Admissions
Important notice: Reception Class Published Admission Number (PAN) Reduction – Effective September 2025
The Department for Education (DfE) has approved our request to reduce the Reception class PAN earlier than originally consulted. This reduction will now come into effect for admissions from September 2025, rather than September 2026.
Our updated Admission Policy can be found below.
Our school staff are always happy to help with admissions and a warm welcome awaits when you come to look round and meet us. Please contact the school office if you would like to make an appointment to visit.
The Federation of Holy Trinity Schools is a two-form entry school and part of Leeds Diocese Learning Trust (the Trust). The Trust is the admissions authority and is responsible for determining and applying the admissions policy. The school admits 60 pupil places per year group. Children are taught in classes determined by dates of birth from September to July.
The Federation of Holy Trinity Church of England Schools operates within the coordinated admissions scheme administered by North Yorkshire Council. This means that all applications for places must be made via the Local Authority using the common application form, in accordance with the published timeline. The Local Authority will then coordinate the allocation of school places in line with the school’s published admissions criteria. The Trust remains responsible for applying the oversubscription criteria and determining admissions in line with this policy.
The Local Authority will notify parents, on behalf of the Trust, of the school they have been allocated.
The Trust is committed to fair, clear, and objective procedures, fully compliant with the School Admissions Code 2021. The Trust consults with the Diocese of Leeds, the Local Authority, other local schools, and the wider community as part of the statutory admissions consultation process.
