Litton

Welcome to Litton!

Our Year 6 Litton Class is taught by Mrs Hewitt (Monday to Wednesday) Mrs Gomes (Wednesday to Friday) and supported by Mrs Wells.

We are very excited to be supporting and guiding your child through their special Year 6 journey. Year 6 is very much the bridge between primary and secondary school; it is a year full of challenge, responsibility and hard work as well as fun, excitement and opportunity as we help to nurture and prepare all our pupils for the next chapter in their lives. We cannot wait to get started!

Year 6 Homework

In Litton, we are very excited to introduce our new homework challenge. Each half-term, pupils will be set a ‘pyramid’ of tasks to complete at home which will help to enhance the learning they are doing within the classroom. In order to inspire all of our learners and in recognition of the differing way in which pupils and families approach homework, we have organised these pyramids into ‘must’, ‘should’ and ‘could’ sections to guide pupils and parents in which tasks are most important and which can be chosen as additional to the basic essential requirements. We cannot wait to see the creative ways in which children take on these tasks!

Home school communication, both to celebrate the good things and tackle any problems or concerns is essential in ensuring the very best education for your child. Parents, please do not hesitate to contact Mrs Hewitt or Mrs Gomes via admin@htceschools.co.uk

As part of our whole school commitment to wellbeing there is no expectation on our staff to read or answer emails sent between 6pm and 8am in the week, or any at weekends or holidays.  Should your email not receive a reply, this is not a case of being impolite but one of choosing wellbeing ahead of workload.
