Statutory Assessments
You may be aware that children undertake a range of assessments during their time in school and this includes statutory assessments (those the government require us to do).
Please see the table below for more information and please be reassured that we ensure the wellbeing of children is cared for in all our planning and actions, including where related to assessments.

Baseline assessment - When children arrive and within their first 6 weeks of Reception year. | Click Here |

Phonics assessment. If a child does not pass in Year 1, they do the assessment in Year 2. |

Yr 2 |
There are assessment papers for reading and mathematics. Final grades are decided by teacher assessment. |

Yr 4 |
Multiplication 'tables check'. The children answer questions on a computer screen. | Document - Click Here |
Yr 6 |
Assessments in maths, reading, spelling and grammar. These assessments are externally marked. Results are shared with secondary schools who often use the results to set target grades for GCSE.
