A Week in Wharfe!

First half of Summer Term is complete!

In English, we have started a new writing topic based on the film Paraphernalia. We have been exploring film language and looking at the effects sound, lighting, camera angle and colour has on the audience.  Fraser said "it is interesting in learning about the different aspects of making a film."

In Maths, we enjoyed Numeracy Day based around numbers. In our Maths lesson we were given a budget to plan a party! We had £400, a 40 person guest list and had to ensure all party elements were covered including venue, food, decorations and cake.  Tharun said "he loved seeing all the staff's costumes and thought Mr Brightwell's was the best!"

In PE, we had a football tournament and the Blue Team won!

Some of our class went to Outwood to take part in a Ro-icket competition and Holy Trinity Team 2 have made it through to the finals! Dominic said "I'm very happy we made it through to the finals and can't wait to go back to Outwood."

We had Matt visit our class for our RE lesson and explored the big question 'Why do some people believe in God and others don't?" It was great to get different people's points of view.
