A warm week!
It is incredible how quickly these days are flying by!
We have been taking part in National Sports Week, embarking on a range of different challenges each day. Bobby said "that it's fun to try new things each day". Ryan said "It's good to get outside of the classroom and be in a competition."
We have started our new Learning Means the World topic called I Have a Dream. We have started looking at the apartheid and learning about why and how it started and the effect it had on many people.
Fraser wrote this acrostic poem
A - apartheid separated people by their skin colour
P - people - especially non-whites - were treated unfairly
A - animosity was planted amongst white people by the government
R - racism was seen as okay
T - the government was run by white men
H - houses were built in different places for different people
E - everyone was split in to one of four groups
I - Injustice
D - degrading people for the colour of their skin was common.
Production rehearsals are in full swing and we enjoyed a break one afternoon under the tree!
