Esk News!

Welcome back. We can't believe we only have 1 week left!

In Maths we have started a new topic, statistics. We have been creating and interpreting pictograms.

Here are some of our results:

Charlotte found out that strawberries are the most popular fruit.

Dexter found out that squirrels are the most popular animal.

Jennifer found out that ice cream was the most popular dessert.

In English, we have been writing letters to Dr K Fisher. We have been writing in 1st person, pretending to be a range of animals with lots of problems. For example, a giraffe that is too tall, a tadpole that is changing into a frog and many more!

In Learning Means the World we learnt about the 4 main African drums. We listened to them being played and learnt about their history. We discussed what was similar and different about the sounds produced.

In Athletics, we have been creating relay races using hurdles, hoops, balls and cones. We enjoyed racing each other and making changes to the relay.

We were also very excited to watch the Year 6 play on Thursday afternoon.
