Lovely Laver News
Another fabulous week here in Laver!
After the colour run last week, the children have been working incredibly hard!
We started off the week writing simple sentences about the Little Red Hen. We were thinking about 'who' was 'doing' what, 'where'. The children are becoming superstars at using their phonics and writing brilliant sentences!
In Maths, we have been finding 1 more. The children have been able to use their number tracks and number lines to help them jump 1 more. Tiny has had lots of problems in Maths this week, and we have been able to help him unpick his marvellous mistakes!
In Art, the children have been working with Ms Needham to mix colours. They started off with primary colours and mixed them to make secondary colours.
In RE we have been learning about parables. We know that a parable is a short story from the bible with a meaning. We learnt and acted out the parable of 'The Lost Son'. This parable teaches us to be loving and forgiving. The children then re-told this story in provision.
In Music, Sheeran has been helping us with our learning. We added different sounds to Little Red Riding Hood, thinking about the dynamics (how loud or quiet) and tempo (how quick or slow) our sounds should be!
