Nidd News!

What have we been learning this week?

Learning Means the World has been very exciting this week as we have been learning about comic strips and looking at the Beano. Lucas W said We learned that The Beano is the longest running comic in the world and I think it's the funniest comic in the world!". Keaton is a big fan of The Beano but even he leaned something new. He told us, "I didn't know that Dennis' full name was Dennis Crewe.".  We created fact files about The Beano. Tessa said she enjoyed learning about the different comic characters such as Dennis the Menace, Walter Brown and Gnasher.

We have started our new English text, Cinderella of the Nile. We began by looking at the traditional story of Cinderella that most of us were already familiar with. Parker says "We wrote the story and watched a little clip to give us more information about the story." We have looked at different versions of Cinderella from around the world and identifying what the stories have in common.

Our PE lessons with Mr Banks have involved tag rugby. Lucas P said, "I really enjoyed taking the tags and scoring points."

We have welcomed a new friend, Geroge, into Nidd class this week and we are really happy to have him joining us.
