The Ribble Report

Creativity and Curiosity
It's been another fantastic week of learning and fun! Here’s a quick look at what we've been getting up to.
In English, we started getting ready for our final write. We had a great time making "bum sandwiches," which was messy but fun. We then used our ideas to write detailed plans for our final stories.
In Maths, we've been tackling some big numbers. We've been practising rounding numbers all the way up to 1,000,000 and using these skills to solve tricky problem solving questions. Aryan said he's finding it much easier now that we've had so much practice!
Our Learning Means the World topic has taken us into the world of computer art. We have been learning about vector and raster graphics. We even had a go at creating our own artwork on square paper to act as pixels, and then we used a special computer programme to create some awesome space-themed vector graphics. We used the website provector.app if you want to try it out at home.
Finally, in RE, we've been continuing our work on the Bible. We explored different passages and used our art skills to create images from the quotes. These will soon become wonderful drawings for our very own stained-glass windows! We'll have some photos of them to share with you soon.
Well done to everyone for a brilliant week of hard work!
