Lovely Laver News!

Wow, Laver Class! What an amazing week we've had. You've all been working so hard and learning so many new and exciting things!

In Maths, we've been comparing numbers! We are becoming superstar investigators, looking closely at two numbers and deciding which is more than (>), less than (<), or if they are equal to (=) each other.

In our Mastering Number sessions, we have been thinking about the special number 5. We learnt how to see a number as "5 and a bit." This helps us work out larger numbers quickly. For example, the number 7 is made up of 5 and a bit... that bit is 2! So, 7=5+2.

You have been fantastic punctuation detectives in English! We've been looking very closely at capital letters, finger spaces, full stops and question marks. We have written some really amazing questions this week, using your best handwriting and remembering that important question mark at the end.

In PE, we've been getting active and creative! We learnt how to make our bodies into different shapes, some were really big shapes that took up lots of space, and others were wonderfully small and tucked in.

The best part was putting these big and small shapes into a sequence! This means doing one shape, then the next, and the next, like a little dance routine!

Just a reminder that Learning Packs and reading books need to be returned to school every Monday, and homework books returned to school every Thursday!
