➗ Mastering Maths: Short Division Superstars!

You’ve all worked so hard on short division this week! Remember how important it is to break down the number, using your bus stop method, and dealing carefully with any remainders. You’ve tackled some tricky numbers and proven you are becoming experts at dividing three- and four-digit numbers by a single digit. Keep practising those times tables—they are the key to speedy success!

Top Tip: Division is the opposite of multiplication! Check your answer by multiplying the quotient (answer) by the divisor (the number you are dividing by).

🏰 English Adventures: The World of King Arthur and Merlin

Our new English topic is proving to be truly magical! We are absolutely hooked on the legends of Merlin and the court of King Arthur. This week, we focused on using brilliant descriptive language to bring this ancient time to life. Think about those powerful verbs and amazing adjectives we’ve been collecting to describe the dark, mysterious forests or the gleaming armour of a knight!

We'll be using this descriptive power to write our own amazing stories next week. Get ready to imagine you’re in Camelot!

🙏 RE Reflection: Was Jesus the Messiah?

In RE, we've continued our deep discussions about the concept of the Messiah. We’ve been exploring the prophecies and looking at different religious perspectives on whether Jesus fulfilled those expectations. It's fantastic to hear you sharing your well-thought-out answers and showing such respect for different beliefs. Keep asking those big questions!

🤸‍♀️ PE Prowess: Dance and Hockey Hits!

Get ready to move, Wharfe! We are starting two brilliant new sports in PE.

• Dance: We're going to be exploring rhythm, expression, and movement. Don't be shy—let your creative side shine!
• Hockey: Time to grab those sticks! We’ll be focusing on control, passing, and teamwork. Remember the importance of keeping the ball close and communicating with your teammates.

🌹 A Time to Remember: The Spa Gardens on Tuesday

This Tuesday is a very important day. We will be walking to The Spa Gardens in the morning for our Remembrance Service. This service gives us a chance to pause, reflect, and show respect for the soldiers and civilians who have given their lives in conflicts.

It's a solemn occasion, and we will be joining the community for a moment of silence and reflection. Please remember to wear your uniform smartly and show your best, most thoughtful behaviour for this important act of remembrance.
