Wensley Class Blog

New York, New York!

The class has been working really hard this week. They have been making fantastic progress with using formal division methods in maths, and we've seen some real lightbulb moments!

In English, we've learnt about using the Power of 3 and have also been using expanded noun phrases and compound adjectives to write some brilliant monster descriptions. Some of the class's favourite compound creations were 'death-stalked', 'fury-eyed', 'rhino-skinned', and 'fire-drenched'. Well done, Wensley, for such vivid descriptions!

In Learning Means The World, we have learnt about the topography of New York, in particular the 'flattening of Manhattan'. We then made a large class map and simulated the flattening using water bottles!

In PE, we really enjoyed exploring balances with Seb from Harrogate Town on Monday and playing dodgeball with Mr Banks from Sporting Influence on Wednesday!

We hope you all have a great weekend!
