The Ribble Report

Ribble have worked so hard this week - keep it up!
In Maths, we have been making fantastic progress with using formal division methods in maths, revising our multiplication methods and using these in problems.
In English, we've learnt about using the Power of 3 and how effective it can be in our writing. We have also revised expanded noun phrases and explored using compound adjectives to write some brilliant descriptions of our monster and hero. The children loved drawing their own characters to really show the features that they were describing.
In Learning Means The World, we have learnt about the topography of New York. We had so much fun creating a large class map while the children all played different roles in the process of flattening Manhattan. Noah took his role as an engineer very seriously!
In PE, we really enjoyed gymnastics with Seb from Harrogate Town on Monday and playing dodgeball with Mr Banks from Sporting Influence too. The children thoroughly enjoyed this team game - to call them enthusiastic would be an understatement.
We have also been working very hard on our handwriting in Ribble and we are seeing improvements day by day, which is amazing!
