Wonderful Wharfe Blog Post

Welcome to the Wharfe Class Blog! 🌟
What a monumental week it has been for our amazing Wharfe class! From the quiet focus of the classroom to the big stage of 'Young Voices,' our pupils have truly shown what they are made of.
📝 Assessment Superstars
First and foremost, a massive well done to everyone for their hard work during our assessment tests this week. Assessments can feel a little daunting, but the children handled them with such maturity and calm. We are seeing fantastic progress across the board, and as staff, we couldn't be prouder of the effort you’ve put in. You’ve earned a huge pat on the back!
🦸♂️ Superheroes and Villains in Training
In our English lessons, things have taken a turn for the "super." We’ve been busy completing our 'How to be a Superhero or Super Villain' guides.
The creativity on display is simply amazing! What has stood out the most is the way so many of you are weaving your own personality and humour into your writing. Whether you’re plotting world domination or planning a daring rescue, your voices are really shining through in your work.
💻 Staying Safe Online
This week has also been about becoming digital experts. We have been researching different apps and discussing the best ways to keep ourselves safe online.
Don’t forget: We have been busy producing posters to showcase our learning! We would love to share these with you at our Parents Meeting this Friday at 9:00 am in the school hall.
📚 Storytelling and Friendship
Looking back to the end of last week, we had a truly delightful time visiting Year 1 to celebrate Storytelling Week.
It was a joy to watch our Wharfe pupils take the younger children under their wings. Seeing those friendships blossom over a good book was a highlight for the staff—you showed such kindness and leadership. A wonderful time was had by all!
🎤 Voices in Harmony
Finally, a huge shout-out to Ted and Gloria, who represented Year 6 at 'Young Voices' this week! They joined a massive celebration of music and singing, representing our school with pride. We hope you both had an unforgettable experience!
