Litton Class Blog: Superheroes, Science, and Success!

It has been an incredibly busy and productive time in Litton Class! The children have tackled this week with maturity and enthusiasm, and we have so many reasons to be proud of them.

🌟 SATs Success and Super Attitudes

We have recently completed a round of SATs practice papers, and we must say, we are incredibly proud of the progress everyone is making. Even more impressive than the scores is the attitude the children have shown; they have approached the tests with focus and determination.

It has been a joy to watch them reviewing their papers, finding out their scores, and—most importantly—proactively making revision notes on questions they want to improve on. It is wonderful to see them celebrating their own progress.

🦸‍♀️ Superhero Writers

In English, we have put the final touches to our superhero writing pieces. The standard of writing across the class is exceptionally high, with some gripping plotlines and fantastic descriptions. We can’t wait to share these masterpieces with you at the upcoming Parents' Evenings—prepare to be impressed!

🦎 Science: Adaptations and Evolution

Our Science lessons have taken a creative turn as we continue to explore evolution and inheritance. The children were tasked with designing their own creatures with specific adaptations suited to particular habitats.

We had some super creative ideas! The class really thought deeply about which physical traits would be necessary to survive in specific biomes, showing a great understanding of how animals adapt to their environments.

📚 Buddies and Storytelling

Last Friday, for National Storytelling Week, we had the absolute pleasure of visiting Reception to see our buddies. Litton Class read stories to the younger children, and it was a joy to watch our older students interacting so kindly and patiently with the little ones. It was a lovely afternoon that highlighted the caring nature of our Year 6s.

💻 Upcoming: Online Safety Presentations

Looking ahead to this Friday, some of our children will be presenting work on Online Safety to parents. The groups have worked really hard on these presentations and have been very mature while researching the potential dangers of certain social media platforms. We look forward to seeing you there to support their hard work.

Well done, Litton Class—keep up the amazing effort!
