Ouse News!

World Book Day!

We spent the morning reading a range of Julia Donaldson books. We read 'The Detective Dog and created our own front covers for the book. We discussed the importance of including the title, author, illustrator and an image from the book. The most heartwarming part of the day was undoubtedly our trip to Nursery. Armed with our favourite picture books, we spent the afternoon sharing our favourite stories.

Maths

We have started our new unit: Length and Height. The children have been using rulers and metre sticks to measure a range of objects.

Learning Means the World

In PSHE  we’ve been discussing the importance of physical exercise. We had some fantastic class discussions about the activities we enjoy and how they make our bodies feel. We learnt that to stay fit and healthy, we should aim for at least 1 hour of physical activity every single day!

RE

In RE, we explored some deep themes: Sin and Salvation. We discussed what these words mean and looked for examples of where these themes appear within the Easter Story.

Sporting Pride

Finally, a massive shout-out to the 8 Year 2 children who represented Holy Trinity in the Cross Country Event this week. You represented the school with such sportsmanship and energy—we are incredibly proud of you!
