World Book Day!

Thank you for the brilliant costumes that the class have shown off for World Book Day! We will add some photos next week to show what a creative class we have. World Book Day was great – our class library is now being further spruced up with the spine of everybody's book about themselves, and the class also really enjoyed journeying across the school to hear different members of staff read some of their favourite books.

This week has been assessment week. It has been, once again, great to see the class working really hard and having a positive attitude to the different assessments they do. We have talked a lot recently about taking ownership of our learning, and this is a strong example of the class doing just that. Our Praise Child focus this week was Pride, and it was a difficult choice with so many of the class always taking so much pride in their work every day. Well done Holly for winning this week!

In PE, we had a really enjoyable netball session on Monday, where we practised passing and finding space, followed by some competitive mini-games. There was some fantastic teamwork on show, and it was great to hear Josh say it was his favourite PE this year.

In RE, we are investigating the concept of Salvation for Christians. We looked at the Big Frieze, and it was great to see how much the class could glean from it. We then explored the stations of the cross.

Have a great weekend everybody!
