Aire Class Blog!

We have had such an active week! On Tuesday we welcomed a cricketer from North Yorkshire Cricket who taught us some new skills. Darcie said, 'I thought it was fun because we were practising our batting.' Connie said, 'I thought it was very fun and tiring because we had to run around a lot and put the balls back.' Jay said, 'I thought it was pretty good because a NY cricketer came to our class, and we were learning batting skills.'

We have continued our Outdoor Adventure Activities and enjoyed being out on the field running around solving clues! Then in the afternoon we were able to enjoy our reward for filling up the jar of jewels by going on the apparatus. This was a huge highlight of the week. Teddy said, 'It was fun. I was able to do a spider-man pose.' Savannah said, 'I thought it was really fun and I got to the top of the ropes.' Jasper P said, 'I don't know how I was able to hang upside-down.' Ava D 'I loved racing with everyone in my group.' Amber said,' I thought it was fun going up and sliding down the benches' Ava S said,' Darcie and I were racing to the top of apparatus and I won!'

We have completed our final write in English, and I am very excited to show you it during Parents Evening next week.

In Maths, we have been finding equivalent fractions on a number line and adding fractions together.

In RE, we have looked at more symbolism during Easter and how the symbols remind Christians of the Easter story.

In Learning Means the World, we created fact files about Christ the Redeemer in Brazil.

Our spelling focus this week is the prefixes 'auto' and 'inter'.

Dates to remember:

24th and 25th - Parents evening.

26th - Easter Service and Holi.

Please see school newsletter for more information about Easter Egg raffle and Holi celebration.
