Ouse News!

Welcome back to our weekly blog. We have had a busy week filled with Parents' Evenings, dance competitions and Easter celebrations!

Maths

In Maths we have been learning about millilitres. We have been practising how to read scales with precision, learning how to calculate those tricky smaller intervals between the main numbers.

English

We have been busy writing our own stories featuring a very mischievous character, Rusty! The children's imagination went wild as Rusty caused mayhem across town. He ate all the gingerbread men in the bakery and smeared chips over the windows of the fish and chip shop.

Learning Means the World

For our Learning Means the World lessons this week we turned into digital explorers. We used google to research the mountain gorilla. We investigated their specific habitat and diet, their unique traits that set them apart from other gorillas and why they are currently endangered.

Dance Competition

The energy levels were through the roof at our Dance Competition at Outwood on Wednesday. The children performed with such confidence, showing off their choreographed Superhero and Soda Pop routines.

Easter

Thursday was a beautiful day filled with celebration. We baked delicious Easter nests, attended our school Easter service and enjoyed Holi.

We want to take this moment to say a huge thank you to all our parents and carers for your continued support this term. We hope you all have a happy and sun-filled Easter. We look forward to seeing you in the summer term.
