Wensley Class Blog

Happy Easter!

It has been another packed week in Wensley! We really enjoyed our latest trip to the library on Tuesday. As well as taking out books ourselves, Harriet asked each child to pick a book to recommend to others. It was absolutely fantastic to hear the children share their love of reading as they picked some of their favourites. For Daisy, it was hard to pick as she loved so many of the books! Harriet made a super display which you can see if you pop down to the library over Easter!

In English, we have loved the remarkable story of Ernest Shackleton. We wrote diary entries about the various adventures and troubles of his crew, whilst showing off our understanding of adverbials and parenthesis. Super work, Wensley!

In Maths, we have been using statistics – seeing how we extract information from tables and charts. It has been a nice change, and the children have been applying their core number and calculation skills really well in a new context.

On Thursday afternoon, the class conducted some exciting eggsperiments - we hope everybody had a brilliant time!

We hope you all have a super Easter and look forward to seeing you all for the summer term in April.
