Trinity Remembers

This morning, November 11th, our school community gathered together to pay tribute to the fallen soldiers, civilians, and service personnel who have made the ultimate sacrifice in conflicts past and present. Our annual Remembrance Service served as a powerful reminder of the cost of war and the  importance of peace. Unfortunately, we were unable to attend Spa Gardens due to the weather. We welcomed Cannon Matthews and the Rev Trigg, the British Legion Chaplin for Ripon, to lead us in worship at school.

The atmosphere in the hall was one of quiet respect as pupils and staff gathered together. Mr Mayer joined us to represent our service parents.   Our Worship Warriors and Service Pupils were central to the service, delivering readings of poetry.

The most profound moment of the morning was the traditional playing of 'The Last Post,' which ushered in the two-minute silence by pupils from Ripon Grammar School. It was an exceptionally still and moving period of reflection, broken only by the later playing of 'Reveille.' This silence provided an essential opportunity for every member of our community to reflect on the words recited by  Charlotte ' When you go home, tell them of us and say, for your tomorrow, we gave out today.
