Curriculum Information
Please see below for an overview of what the children will learn during Autumn 2:

English: Children will dive into Boa’s Bad Birthday by Jeanne Willis to explore character feelings, practise story re-tellings, and write their own simple stories.

Maths: Pupils will build a solid foundation in addition and subtraction within 10 using hands-on counters, number bonds, and part-whole models.

Science: Young scientists will explore and identify everyday materials based on their properties, alongside observing the natural seasonal changes in our environment.

RE: Children will learn about Islam, exploring who Muslims are, what they believe, and how they express their faith in daily life and celebration.

Geography: Through "What is it like here?", pupils will investigate our local area, using simple map skills and fieldwork to describe physical and human features.

Computing: Pupils will get hands-on with digital art tools, experimenting with digital painting, colors, shapes, and textures on screens.

Music: Inspired by Snail and Mouse, children will discover tempo by listening to, comparing, and performing fast and slow musical patterns.

PSHE: In "Celebrating Differences," children will explore what makes each of us unique, learning to value diversity, show empathy, and build respectful friendships.

PE: Pupils will develop core dynamic movement and coordination skills through active games focused on attacking, defending, and shooting targets.
