In English, we have been writing in the first person, pretending to be the main character from our story - Arthur. We used a range of verbs to describe some different scenes.
In Maths we have continued with our time unit. We have been calculating different durations. We used compliments to 60 to help us.
In Learning Means the World we have been grouping animals by their type, either mammals, amphibians, reptiles, birds and fish. Here are some interesting facts we learnt:
Mammals are warm-blooded, vertebrates (they have a backbone) and they have lungs.
Amphibians have a three-chambered heart, their skin is smooth and moist and some go through metamorphosis (like tadpoles to frogs).
Reptiles have scaly skin, are cold-blooded and live in various habitats.
Fish have gills to help them breathe, they are cold-blooded, and their fins help them to swim in water.
Birds lay eggs, have beaks and feathers.
In RE we learnt about the Hindu story of Rama and Sita. We created our own flowcharts to retell the story.
In PE, we are busy practising for Sports Day! We practised hurdling, running and the egg and spoon race!
