An Exciting Esk Class Blog!

Welcome to the blog for Esk Class
This week we have been learning about place value in maths. We have looked at how to represent and partition numbers to 100. We have also begun to look at number lines to 100.
In English, we have been reading a Paddington Bear adventure called Paddington and the Marmalade Maze. We are using the story as a tool to help write our own story, including dialogue. So, this week we have been learning how to write speech and conversations using inverted commas.
Learning Means the World this week has been to learn about Johannes Gutenberg and the invention of the printing press. We have looked at the history of writing from the ancient Sumerians and Egyptians to Henry VIII instigating the production of bibles translated into English.
In P.E we have been in the hall working on our gymnastic skills, thinking about how to change our body shape and creating a sequence of moves. Sporting Influence have been teaching Esk class Tag Rugby skills (in between the downpours!).
