Esk News

Welcome to our blog!
This week in Esk, we have been thinking about how Christians use the bible as a guide. Wren was blindfolded (yes, that is an Elf hat!) and had to navigate her way to the other side of classroom avoiding obstacles. Wren said that at first it was not very good because she couldn't see and didn't know where she was. Once Ophelia came along and acted as Wren's guide, Wren felt much happier and could find her way alot easier.
In Art we have been making our own comic books, setting out our stories in frames using speech bubbles for dialogue. Bobbie-Mae thought the art was really good and enjoyed making the pictures.
In English we have finished Cinderella of the Nile and have moved onto our next topic which is The Myth Atlas. Lilly has really enjoyed learning about different myths from different cultures all around the world. Hannah enjoyed writing her own myth based on the Slavic story of Simargl.
In Music, this week, we got out the recorders! We have been learning to play the notes F,A,C,E and G. Aaliyah found it really exciting as she had never played a recorder before. Emily liked playing the recorder because she likes the sound it makes.
