Esk News

Welcome to our Esk class blog.

The final week of the term has been quite eventful. A most terrible crime was commited in Esk class. Our gems in the jar were STOLEN! However, we are an amazing team of super sleuths who can use our science skills to track down a perpetrator! The criminal left us a note to tease us but they didn't realise we could use this to help identify the criminal. We learnt about Chromotography and how to seperate black ink into its ingredients. Eventually, after testing a number of teacher's pens the culprit was discovered and aprehended. As a result, we were able to recover our gems!

In English we have been exploring myths and legends. We have been finding common features across different myths around world using The Myth Atlas by Thiago de Moraes. We have read stories about Maui from Polynesia, Thor from Scandanavia and Durga from India. We are really excited to be writing our own myth stories when we come back after half term we are really excited to be writing our own myth stories.

We hope you all have a fantastic half-term and look forward to seeing you for the Autumn 2 term.
