Esk News

Welcome to this week's exciting Esk news!

This week we have been learning about floating and sinking. Hannah explains “we got a number of objects and placed them into water. On a sheet we recorded if the objects sank or floated”. Margot was surprised by the scissors sinking as she thought they would float.

In P.E we have started this term dance module. This dancing is based around the theme of Roald Dahl’s Matilda. Charlie says, "Matilda loves books and she has special powers. So, in our dance we had to pretend to be like Matilda."

Frankie has enjoyed our Spanish learning this week. We are currently learning classroom instructions like eschcuchad, sentaos and repetid.

This week has also been incredibly exciting because we have had a Michael Rosen day. We watched a live video webinar with the actual Michael Rosen! Lilly liked his funny poem about a chocolate cake and how he ended up eating it all!

We then had an ice-cream from an ice-cream van, which was super exciting and yummy! We shared our work from the day in the hall at the end of the day, and it was fantastic listening to all the poetry the rest of the school had produced.
