This week's Nidd news...

We have made it to the end of a short but busy half term!

In Maths we are learning about time. We began by looking at Roman numerals to 12 and finding the patterns in the way they are written. Teddy said found it quite easy as you have to remember that "if the I comes before, it means it's one less and if it comes after, you have to add them." Following on from that, we have been learning to tell the time on an analogue clock.

We were scientists in our Learning Means the World lessons, learning about states of matter and about the process of photosynthesis. Sienna remembered that plants need "water and carbon dioxide", Eloise added "minerals" and Ava S remembered the 'magic' ingredient of "chlorophyll".

Our swimmers have completed their final lessons and we are so proud of how far they've come!

We welcomed two new faces to Nidd this week. Sebastian has joined our class and we have loved getting to know him. We have also had help in the classroom from work experience student, Freddie, who has really got stuck in helping the children with their learning. Thank you Freddie!

Have a lovely half term everyone, and we will see you after the break!
