Nidd News

There has been lots going on in Nidd this week!
Along with our class based learning this week, we have enjoyed lots of learning outside the classroom.
On Tuesday, Nidd class visited Ripon library. The children made us so proud with their behaviour walking through town and in the way they engaged during their time in the library. All children should have brought a library book home with them. These can be kept at home and returned by October 21st.
Our RE learning took us outside this week. We are exploring the Big Question, 'What do Christians learn from the Creation story?'. We went into the woodland to look for things that filled us with a sense of awe. At this time of year, it was an easy task as we were surrounded by the beautiful colours in the leaves, berries and fruit on the trees. The children then came up with some very thought provoking questions that they wanted to ask about Creation.
We are coming to the end of our Maths unit and have been busy comparing and ordering numbers to 1,000 by comparing the digits according to their place value.
In Learning Means the World, we are entering the fascinating world of animation. We have explored some early forms of animation and made our own flip books. This was quite a challenge as we had to make sure that each picture was almost identical apart from a very slight change each time!
We are ending the week on a high with our pyjama day to celebrate our superb achievement off 100% attendance!
