Welcome back!

Happy New Year to everyone! We hope you have had a wonderful break.

It's wonderful to see those smiling faces back in the classroom, ready for a new term of exciting learning.

We've got some brilliant new topics lined up, and we can't wait to dive in!

In RE, we're starting a fascinating new unit all about Easter. We'll be exploring the story of Jesus and trying to understand why Christians call the day he died 'Good Friday'.

Get ready to meet some amazing creatures in English! We're going to be reading a wonderful book called 'An Anthology of Intriguing Animals'. Each page is filled with incredible animals, and we'll be exploring the book, looking for common elements in the structure of the pages and interesting facts on every page. We'll be doing lots of exciting learning around this book, so prepare to be amazed by the animal kingdom!

Our new 'Learning Means the World' unit is going to take us on an incredible adventure to a whole new continent – Africa! Get ready to pack your imaginary suitcases because we'll be learning all about the history (including the ancient kingdom of Benin) and vibrant culture of different countries in Africa. We'll discover fascinating facts and explore different traditions.

We're so excited for all the fun and learning we're going to have this term. Let's make it a brilliant one, Year 3!
