Nidd News!

As we come to the end of a short, but very busy half term...
We may have only been in school for four days this week but it has been jam packed!
We finished our English by writing our very own quest stories. From terrifying enemies to magical objects, we journeyed across far away lands in our imaginations to save the day! Keaton wrote a tale of a hero exploring the woods where he found a trap door which led him to a small room... "I think I made it cool because it was a mix of the past and the future." he tells us.
We have been learning all about plants in Science. We started by dissecting a flower to carefully examine the different parts (leaf, stem, petal, stamen and stigma) then discovered how each part had a special job to do in order to help the flower to grow and reproduce. We also found out about the incredible process of photosynthesis and how plants reproduce through pollination and seed dispersal.
Our children made us proud not once, but twice this week when we ventured out of school to take part in some special church services. We were very honoured to be invited to Ripon Cathedral on Wednesday. We watched an re-enactment of the installation of the new Archbishop of Canterbury, with Trinity children playing key roles. On Thursday we took part in our Easter Service at Holy Trinity Church. The children's singing was fantastic as ever!
A very happy Easter to everyone. We hope you all have a lovely break and we cannot wait to see you all again after the holidays!
