Aire Class Blog

This week has been a busy and fun week!

In English, we have started learning about Penguins! We are looking at a non-fiction text about penguins and this week we have looked closely at the features of a non-chronological report as well as the use of third person and formal language.

In Maths, we have started looking at place value and exploring numbers up to 10,000 including representing them using concrete resources and partitioning them.

We have launched our Learning Means the World topic, Lightning Speed and have learnt about different forms of communication and how they are linked in a network.

Unfortunately, the weather hasn't been too kind to us, so we were unable to start our tag rugby PE lessons, but we have been able to continue with our gymnastic lessons instead!  Let's hope it stops raining next week so we can get on to the field.

Don't forget next Friday is the colour run! Even if your child is not taking part in the run, we will all be out supporting them, so please make sure they are in PE kit.
