Aire Class Blog

What a busy week!
We finished last week with the amazing colour run. Whether we were running it or cheering on our class, we had a great time!
In English, we completed our topic on non-chronological reports by writing a report on polar bears. We learnt about formal language, past tense, writing in third person and starting sentences with a subordinating conjunction and subordinating clause.
In Maths, we have been looking at comparing and ordering numbers to 10,000 and Roman numerals. It has been tricky learning Roman Numerals to 100, but it has been great fun exploring how to represent numbers in different ways.
In RE, we have explored the Bible's idea of what a covenant is and the promises he made to Noah. We made a promise to ourselves and our class and have all signed it. Some of the promises were to 'always try to be kind' and to 'always try my best.'
In Learning Means the World, we have been exploring electricity and circuits. We have learnt all about the symbols and created our own circuits. It was exciting to watch how bright the lightbulb would get if more batteries were added to the circuit. We looked at creating human circuits too, where we explored closed and open circuits.
