We've had an amazing week celebrating all the hard work the class has put in to this term! Our performance of The Angel that Nearly Missed It All was a huge success. The children were incredible, showcasing supportive teamwork with wonderful singing, fantastic dancing, and truly memorable acting. They definitely brought the festive cheer! Look out for photos coming home next week.

In Maths: We revisited place value to make sure our understanding is rock-solid! We practised quickly calculating 1, 10, and 100 more than a number and stretched our brains with some tricky reasoning challenges.

In English: We stepped back in time to research the life of Emmeline Pankhurst, the inspiring leader of the Suffragettes who fought for women's right to vote. Our writing focused on using time conjunctions to keep our biographies clear, and many children elevated their work with powerful openers and technical vocabulary. We are completing our final biography next week and look forward to adding images and a visual pathway.

In RE: We learnt about Sikhism and the significance of the 5 K's (Kesh, Kara, Kanga, Kachera, and Kirpan). We discussed what each symbol represents and how they help Sikhs connect to their faith and community every day.

In Guided Reading: We have finished reading The Iron Man. We have loved comparing the ending that we had written to the actual ending. Who would have thought the space-bat-angel-dragon would be locked in a challenge with the Iron Man?!

Don't forget:
