A Fantastic First Week Back in Swale!

What a brilliant start to the new school year we’ve had here in Swale! The children have settled into their new classroom wonderfully and it has been such a joy to see them full of excitement and enthusiasm for learning. From day one, they have been exploring, sharing ideas, and beginning to make their new classroom feel like home.

This week, we also launched our new Learning Means the World theme: “Lightning Speed”. We had some fantastic discussions about different methods of communication, and it was amazing to see their curiosity spark as they began asking thoughtful questions about how things have changed and what the future might hold.

As a class, we worked together to create our very own class prayer, a special moment that gave everyone the chance to contribute and reflect on what is important to us as a team. It’s something we’ll be proud to use as a class throughout the year.

In English, we have started our exciting new writing unit, where we will be creating our own non-chronological reports. As a starting point, we will be learning all about penguins and gathering facts, sharing knowledge, and beginning to think about how we can organise information in clear and interesting ways.

It’s been a busy, fun-filled week full of learning, creativity, and teamwork. If the first week is anything to go by, it’s going to be a fantastic year ahead!
