On Thursday afternoon we created our own string telephones. We experimented using different types of cups and different lengths of strings.

We started by making a prediction. Here are some examples:

Edie predicted that the longer string would be more effective because the sound had a longer distance to travel.

Leila predicted that the plastic cup would be more effective because it is a thicker material.

Then came the exciting part - making and testing our telephones!
