Ouse's News!

Wow what a busy term we have had!

In English we have started our new book 'No-Bot' which is about a robot who looses his bottom! We enjoyed sequencing the story, discussing the main parts and characters. We then created our own questions that we could ask the different characters to help us find No-Bot's bottom.

In Maths we have been subtracting a range of 1-digit numbers from 2-digit numbers. We have been using our number bonds to 10 knowledge to partition the numbers before subtracting.

In RE we have been thinking about Jesus' good news and what is teaches us. We also discussed how Jesus' teachings can be linked to a range of faiths, not just Christianity.

In PE we had our final gymnastic lesson. We created our own gymnastic sequence that included examples of what we have learnt this term. For example the arabesque, bridge, crab, camel walk, bunny hop and many more.

Finally, thank you for all of your ongoing support this term. The children have settled into Year 2 incredibly well and we are really proud of them all.

Thank you,

The Year 2 Team
