Litton Class Blog
Another wonderful week here in Litton Class!
This week we have finished our narrative writing of 'Paraphernalia', putting the finishing touches into our final drafts. We are very excited to be moving on next to the story of 'Kensuke's Kingdom' - one of Mrs Gomes' favourite stories and one, which apparently, she has read to every year 6 class she has ever worked with! We will let you know how we are getting on with it next week!
In maths, we have looked at plotting co-ordinates on a 4- quadrant grid and have answered a range of problems relating to this. We have also looked at how to translate a shape on a grid. Oliver has asked about setting up a TT Rockstars challenge against Wharfe - there should now be a 'battle' set up and ready to challenge yourselves with as we speak!
Learning Means the World saw us becoming scientists this week as we constructed a range of electrical circuits and testing them. We looked at the symbols used to represent the different components of a circuit and had a go at drawing a range of different circuits into our books. Keegan said this was 'right up his street' doing practical science - we were super impressed with his skill and knowledge as well as that of the rest of the class.
Friday Karate has been a real treat to end the week with children's confidence growing and lots showing a real interest in the sport - Ella Mai has said she wants to join the a class to continue with it! What a super week Litton - well done!
